Presentation topic : “ Patient-Specific 3D Solutions in Head & Neck Cancer: From Virtual Surgical Planning to Personalised Reconstruction”.
Abstract :
Head and neck cancer surgery demands precise tumour assessment, complex anatomical planning and restoration of function and appearance. Patient-specific 3D technologies are transforming this pathway by integrating medical imaging, digital segmentation, virtual surgical planning and 3D-printed anatomical models, cutting guides and implants. These solutions enable surgeons to simulate procedures, optimise tumour resection, plan reconstruction and improve surgical accuracy. The presentation will explore the clinical potential of 3D technologies in personalised head and neck oncology, highlighting how digital workflows can support multidisciplinary decision-making, reduce operative uncertainty, facilitate reconstruction and ultimately improve functional, aesthetic and patient-centred outcomes.
