DELEGATE REGISTRATION
What is 3D GEM 2026
- 3D GEM stands for 3D Graphy Engineering & Medical, a pan-India international event focusing on 3D technologies (3D printing, scanning, 3D visualisation/AR-VR-MR/digital twin, simulation, materials, design for additive manufacturing, etc.). It brings together engineering, industrial manufacturing, architecture/construction, healthcare (medical, dental, orthopaedic, prosthetics), research and academia.
- The 2026 edition (the 6th) will be held at IIT Bombay — at the Victor Menezes Convention Centre — on 28 & 29 May 2026.
- The event combines conference → poster presentations → exhibition → national grand challenge → design challenge → awards — offering a broad platform for knowledge-sharing, showcasing innovation, business networking, and collaboration between academia & industry.
What delegate registration gives you (benefits / advantages)
Here’s what you typically get when you register as a delegate for 3D GEM.
- Access to conference sessions — Including all workshops / thematic sessions covering engineering/industrial 3D use-cases and medical/dental/healthcare 3D applications.
- Access to exhibition booths — You can visit the exhibition area to see live demos and displays of 3D printers, scanners, software/visualisation tools, materials (polymers, bio-inks, metals, etc.), making it a good opportunity to evaluate technologies, vendors or suppliers.
- Entry to poster presentations and design / grand challenges — For delegates from academia, industry, start-ups, etc., the event offers poster / design / innovation challenges; registration allows attendance and possibility to present and also view others’ work.
- 3D GEM Poster Presentation Abstract Handbook – digital version will be offered to the delegate participants complimentary. The handbook contain all the latest research and development by students, researchers and industry in 3D Printing & 3D Visualisation.
- Networking opportunities — With industry professionals, researchers, 3D-technology companies (printers, scanners, software, materials), medical/dental practitioners, start-ups, investors, policymakers. This helps in collaborations, partnerships, job or business leads, or exposure for your work.
- Refreshments / hospitality — Tea/coffee, snacks and lunch on the day(s) of registration are included.
- Flexibility: One-day or two-day registration — Delegates can choose to register for Day-1 only, Day-2 only, or both days.
- Early Bird Discounts of 10% is offered for booking made on and before 15th February 2026.
- Participation certificate / credentials / recognition — Delegates (especially students / academia) get certificate of participation; those who present posters or take part in challenges could get awards and additional recognition.
- Exposure to innovations and future-oriented technologies — You get to see latest developments across sectors, from additive manufacturing and Immersive technology in AR, VR in aerospace, automotive, construction, to healthcare (prosthetics / implants / dental / medical devices), enabling you to stay updated or adapt in your field.
- Opportunity for collaboration, job / research / business leads — For students, researchers, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and professionals — 3D GEM serves as a bridge between academia, industry, and investors. Exhibitors / companies might scout talent, projects, collaborations; poster presenters / innovators might get attention from industry or investors.
Who benefits most from registering as delegate
The delegate registration is valuable for a wide variety of people/organizations:
- Students & academic researchers (engineering, design, medical, dental, material science, architecture, prosthetics/orthotics, bio-engineering, etc.) — to learn, showcase research, and connect with industry.
- Industry professionals: engineers, manufacturers, 3D-printer / scanner / software / materials companies, designers, entrepreneurs, start-ups — to explore new technologies, find collaborators, clients, suppliers.
- Medical & healthcare professionals: doctors, surgeons (dental, orthopaedic, dental, prosthetic), medical-device developers — to discover applications of 3D printing / visualization in healthcare, connect with innovators, manufacturers.
- Start-ups, MSMEs, R&D teams — to pitch innovations, get noticed, network with bigger players, find potential investors/clients or collaborators.
- Institutions and organisations — to scout talent (students, researchers), technology solutions, collaborations, or procurement opportunities.
Strategic Advantages of Registering (beyond just “attending”)
- Cross-sector exposure: Because 3D GEM spans both engineering/industrial and medical/healthcare domains, you may discover synergies you might otherwise miss — e.g. a material science innovation useful in both industrial manufacturing and biomedicine.
- Early access to cutting-edge 3D tech: Exhibitors likely showcase latest 3D printers, materials, software — seeing them live helps you gauge suitability rather than only reading about specs.
- Potential path for innovation → business or research translation: Especially for students/innovators — poster presentations or design challenge participation can expose your idea to industry & investors, potentially leading to real-world implementation.
- Networking with decision-makers, regulators, industry associations & institutions: As 3D GEM brings together industry associations, government-linked bodies, big companies, start-ups — being present could help establish collaborations or gain support for projects.
- Cost-effective learning & exposure: Given the fact that the event has many activities like conference, exhibition access, sessions, etc., delegate registration offers a lot of value with VIP lounge access and food arrangement.
