Dr. Sankha Dip Das
Government Scientist (Scientist E) at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, working at the intersection of policy, technology, and innovation.
My work focuses on the evaluation, evolution, and governance of national R&D projects, with emphasis on techno-commercial strategy, digital R&D policy, ecosystem development, and long-term innovation roadmaps.
Actively engaged in the road-mapping and implementation of India’s Additive Manufacturing (AM) Strategy and Photonics programs, I contribute to shaping frameworks that connect academia, industry, and government for impactful innovation outcomes — accelerating India’s transition toward a $5 billion AM economy and global photonics leadership.
I aim to further expand my role in strategic technology policy at both national and international levels, strengthening India’s position in emerging global innovation ecosystems.
